Chaplain's Program

The basic foundation and principals that guide Tibs Group are our integrity, ethics, honesty, high morals, and compassion for others.

To support these beliefs and values, our company established a Chaplaincy Service, a program found in more and more companies today. The Tibs Chaplaincy program is a nondenominational counseling-oriented service for our employees and their families. 

Administering the program and serving as Tibs' Chaplain is Ralph Atkinson, who has extensive experience as a Chaplain in the corporate environment as well as in hospitals and police departments.

Caring. Supportive. Confidential.

As Tibs' Chaplain, Ralph serves as a friendly, confidential listening source, someone to provide assistance during personal, family or job difficulties. A trained counselor, he offers employees spiritual and emotional support, helps them find community and faith resources, and provides encouragement and understanding, if needed.

Because his job is to minister to every employee, he doesn't take sides with either labor or management. His work is confidential so he doesn't report employee activities, conversations, counseling or visit details to anyone, and he doesn't keep written records.

Chaplain On Call

Available 24 hours a day, the Tibs' Chaplain is in the Tibs' office regularly, and he makes hospital and other employee visits when needed.

As part of the Tibs' Chaplaincy Service, Ralph provides guidance or support for:

  • Death of an employee or family member
  • Illness or hospitalization of an employee or family member
  • Injury of accident involving an employee or family member
  • Family crisis or emergency
  • Need for spiritual guidance, literature or resources
  • Times of celebration such as weddings, births, retirements
  • Any observed change in behavior or emotions that affects an employee
  • Any causes of stress, which may result in depression, anger or negative behavior
  • Unresolved conflict
  • Employment changes
