Ralph D.
Atkinson, Jr., is Chaplain for Tibs, providing
assistance to our employees during personal, family, or job
difficulties. Ralph, a trained counselor and minister, has
served as a chaplain to businesses and organizations for
almost ten years. Working as
part of a national organization, the Chaplains Associates,
he provides consulting and ministry to the men and women at
Tibs as well as works with employees at Allied Holdings,
Fidelity National bank, and with the Interfaith Airport
Chaplaincy as a First Response Chaplain for Hartsfield
International Airport. Previously he was a Resident Chaplain
for Emory University Hospital System. Ralph began
his career as a chaplain at Baptist Hospital East in
Louisville and later became Chaplain for the Jefferson
County Police Department in Louisville. In addition, he
served as Minister of Education for a Louisville Baptist
church. Ralph
brings real-world experience to his chaplaincy, having
worked in the electrical service industry for 17 years and
also as a mental health associate and media technician. He holds a diploma in theology from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, an endorsement from the North American Mission Board, and certification from the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation in CISM, Pastoral Crisis Intervention, and Corporate Crisis Response. © 2006 Tibs, A Division of M.C.DEAN, Inc.
