Tibs keeps BOMA members 'up and running'

Lincoln Property, Duke-Weeks, CarrAmerica and Cousins Properties, Siemens, GMH Capital all count on Tibs

ATLANTA, September 24, 2003 – When it comes to making sure that the power stays on, more and more BOMA members turn to Tibs Group (www.tibsgroup.com) for both their every-day electrical services and for their preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

“BOMA members are realizing that Tibs is a company that they can count on and that we are a partner who works hard to ensure that their projects are done right and completed on time and on budget,” said Mark Tibbetts, Tibs CEO and President.

Tibbetts explained that BOMA members call on Tibs because of the company’s dedication to its customers as well as because of Tibs’ competitive pricing and industry expertise. Tibbetts credits the company’s customer commitment as one of the key reasons that Lincoln Properties selected Tibs to replace the electrical systems in Atlanta’s towering 33-story Equitable Building.

For three days over the Thanksgiving holiday, the whole facility was shut down to allow Tibs, a Suwanee-based electrical services and technology solutions company, to send a team of over 20 Tibs electricians and technicians to tear down and rebuild Equitable’s four 4000 amp main switch gears totaling 16,000 amps of electrical power.

Pam Pruet, assistant property manager for Lincoln Property Company, credited the success of the three day project to Tibs working closely with Lincoln and the Equitable tenants “to ensure a successful endeavor, with minimal impact to the tenants.”

“Tibs was exceptional. Their execution was spectacular,” said Darryl Carter, chief engineer for Lincoln Property Company. “Because most of the building’s electrical system was antiquated, Tibs spent a great deal of time doing extensive research and cross referencing to make sure that we had ordered the right equipment,” he added.
