Tibs formalizes corporate core values

All employees pledge to follow corporate values

        ATLANTA, August, 25, 2003 For over 30 years, since its inception in 1971, Tibs Group has followed an informal code of ethics and principals which has guided the company. Tibs announced today that the company had formalized a list of those core values, published it on the company’s web site (www.tibsgroup.com), and will include the Core Value list in all proposals and other corporate documentation.

 “In today’s world where questionable ethics is sometimes considered the norm, we wanted to take a firm stand by publicly stating the beliefs and ethics that our company and our employees share,” said Mark Tibbetts, Tibs CEO and President.

 “We want the public to know what Tibs stands for and how we are committed to our customers, our employees, our industry and our community,” he said.

Each Tibs employee signed the company’s Core Values. Those signatures and an oversized version of the 22 point list of core values were placed on display in the company’s training room.

Tibs Values

The list of 22 values is broken down into four categories: Customers, Tibs’ Team, Industry and Community. Included under the list of values dedicated to customers were “exhibiting honesty and integrity in the work we do” and “delivering timely, dependable, professional and value-added services.”

Under the Tibs’ team values, the company and employees pledged to “creating and maintaining a safe and drug free working environment, encouraging ‘boundless’ channels of communications and feedback, and participating in ongoing training, self education and mentoring.”

Among the list of values dedicated to the industry was “building and maintaining relationships with vendors that are committed to quality service,” and for the community, among the list of values was the promise of “being a proper steward to the community through economic and social involvement.”
