Dean, Inc., announced today that the Suwanee company has signed on as a Silver Sponsor for the inaugural awards ceremony and fundraiser for the Gwinnett chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). A non-profit organization, FCA Gwinnett is active throughout Gwinnett County’s 19 public school clusters and private schools, providing faith-based programs for student athletes and their coaches.

FCA Gwinnett (fcagwinnett.org) also selected Tibs President and General Manager Mark Tibbetts to serve as Steering Committee Chairman for the event which will feature Jeff Francoeur, Golden Glove winner and Atlanta Braves outfielder, as guest speaker.

“Our goal is to turn this awards ceremony into the premier sports event where we honor outstanding coaches and athletes across Gwinnett County,” he adds. At the awards ceremony, FCA Gwinnett will present awards for Outstanding FCA Gwinnett Male Student Athlete of the Year, Outstanding FCA Female Student Athlete of the Year, and Outstanding FCA Gwinnett Coach of the Year. In addition, the organization’s coveted Legacy Award will be given to a coach or student athlete, now in a professional career or retired, who has proven to show a lifetime commitment to the FCA values and been responsible for sharing those values with others.
