Tibs Group now in exclusive class for infrared testing

Paul Schieber certified as Level III Infrared Thermographer

ATLANTA, January 8, 2003 - Paul Schieber of the Tibs Group joined an elite group of electrical technicians recently when the Infrared Training Center (ITC), the global leader in infrared training and applications, certified Schieber as a Level III Infrared Thermographer. Less than 150 technicians across the country have this certification, according to Mark Tibbetts, CEO of Tibs Group, a metro Atlanta company specializing in electrical, technology, power quality and security solutions.

Schieber, Field Service Manager for Tibs' Power Quality Group, received his Level III certification after completing ITC's intensive training program which included a hands-on infrared testing project and providing proof of his extensive practical on-the-job experience.

"Our entire company is extremely proud of Paul and the certification milestone he achieved," said Tibbetts. "With his expertise and guidance, Tibs now can offer our customers a superior level of infrared testing and a preventive maintenance program that is unparalleled in the Atlanta area."

With 20 years experience in the electrical industry, Schieber oversees the infrared and ultrasonic testing services offered through Tibs' one-of-a kind preventive maintenance program. In its proactive program, Tibs uses infrared cameras, comprehensive ultrasonic test equipment and detailed software reports to detect and report electrical system problems.

Schieber, who has been with Tibs for three years, was promoted in 2003 to Tibs' Field Service Manager. Prior to that he was the company's Senior Power Quality Technician and was responsible for all control/SCADA projects in the field, from design to installation, for analyzing power quality reports, and for programming and installing power quality equipment.

"Paul's Level III certification is more proof that, by working with Tibs Group, our customers know that Tibs is the company they can trust for power quality, testing, and assurance of their electrical systems," said Tibbetts.

With his new Level III certification, Schieber is qualified to supervise Level I and Level II infrared thermographers, provide infrared training, develop company predictive maintenance/inspection practices, and serve as a consultant on preventive maintenance procedures and electrical equipment problems.
